Angels Ministry
Founded by: JoAnn Hille
How did the Angels Minisrty get started?
The ministry began shortly after the restoration and completion of the church's two life-sized angel statues that were heavily damaged during Hurricane Katrina. Our former pastor asked me to restore them. It took 1 year and 3 months, at my home, to complete. Shortly after that a very strong, desire came to me to start this ministry.
Why?
There were so many people in dire need of help in our area. It was my heartfelt desire to do all I could and can to help those in need.
What is Angels Ministry's mission?
The mission is to follow the examples of St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta, our Patron Saint, in finding ways to aid the dying, sick and hungry and letting God's light shine through us in our work. Also, by witnessing our "Love of Neighbor". Our motto is "Doing Good Deeds with Great Love to Help Others". The mission consists of several different groups all working different needs all different times of the year. We continiue to pray for new members.
